About E2E

WIDER CONTEXT

The Education to Employment programme’s goal is the empowerment of the youth to make the job search process easier. But it’s not just that.

Through our activities, E2E is involved in the realization of many other important objectives:

INTERNATIONAL LEVEL

We contribute to the realization of the United Nations Sustainable development platform through effective realisation of the objectives defined under the Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8) of this platform, concerning the promotion of sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive youth employment.

Also, SDG 8 touches on creating proper conditions for labor productivity-raising, youth unemployment reduction and facilitating access to financial services in order to provide easier and sustainable economic development of the planet.

Within the framework of this United Nations platform, we contribute to the realization of the objectives from point one – poverty reduction, point four – access to inclusive and quality education throughout life, point five – women empowerment, point 10 — decrease social inequality and point 17 – promotion of international cooperation on achieving sustainable economic development.

A faster way to Serbian EU Membership

Through our E2E programme actions, we contribute significantly to the achievement of National top priorities – full European Union membership.

In one point of the Action Plan (section 3.11), new EU strategy for the Western Balkans is asking the candidate countries, which includes Serbia, that they need to “Increase focus on employment and social reforms through greater monitoring of relevant policies and establishment of an annual EU-Western Balkans Ministerial meeting on these issues, that will feed into the economic reform programmes” which is one of the objectives of our program.

National Level

In order to help young people in developing work skills companies are really looking for, we have created a network of five partner organizations in Kruševac, Kragujevac, Knjaževac, Novi Pazar and Pirot. These are our pilot communities in which we implement the Swiss labor market management system and adapt it to the specificities of our country. In that way, we are finding the employability system that suits us best.

We are also interested to find out what are the necessary changes in the legislative framework of the Republic of Serbia in order to make this system work properly nationwide.
