E2E Story - Virtual forklift operation

Knjaževac: In cooperation with the Job info centre, the students of the Technical School in Knjaževac had the opportunity to, in virtual reality, using the VR headset, try out what it looks like to operate a forklift and see everything that the profession of a welder implies.

Thanks to the VR headsets from Job info centre, the students of the Technical School in Knjaževac spent a part of their practical training in virtual reality. They practiced the operation of forklift, welding, and operation of construction machines.

“It was fun and instrumental. Virtual teacher led us throughout the process, stopped us if we made a mistake, gave us advice”, Mihajlo Božinović, a first-grade student who is training for the profession of a CNC technician, said

Even though, in cooperation with local companies, they already opportunity to experience their future professions in practice, they are more perceptive to this way of doing it. In school they told us that, in cooperation with local companies they have already had opportunity to experience their future professions in practice, and every student gets a chance to check whether a specific profession is suitable for them or not.

“Considering that youngsters are overjoyed with this method of work, we will make an effort to introduce working in virtual reality wherever it is possible”, Ivan Amon, director of the Technical School, said.

“Our wish is to, through the cooperation with schools, help young people more easily reach the conclusion about what is best for their career pathway. I would like to invite all young people to come to the premises of the Job info centre and try out our headset. We are open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.’’, Sana Džakula, career practitioner of the Job info centre in Knjaževac, said.
