“Education to Employment” Project Showcased Innovative HR and Career Guidance Solutions at HR Experience Conference 2026Projekat

The Swiss-Serbian project “Education to Employment (E2E) – Znanjem do posla” participated as a strategic partner at the HR Experience Conference 2026, one of the region’s leading events dedicated to human resources, leadership, and the future of work, organized in Belgrade by Infostud.

During the conference, the project presented concrete solutions aimed at improving youth employability, strengthening internal company training systems, and modernizing career guidance and counselling services in Serbia.

A key highlight of the conference was the presentation by Oliver Streit, Head of Project at Education to Employment (NIRAS Germany), delivered in the “Next-Generation Leadership” session under the title “Serbia’s Youth Deserve Smarter Career Guidance.” In his address, Oliver Streit drew attention to a core structural challenge: Serbia does not have a talent shortage — it has a matching problem. Nearly 1 in 4 young persons in Serbia (23%) is unemployed, while the overall unemployment rate sits below 9%, meaning talented young people and the employers seeking them coexist in the same country but consistently fail to connect. The solution the project offers is a science-based, digital-human career guidance model built on three validated diagnostic tools developed by Swiss specialist partner gateway.one: IdentyFi, WayFi and Basic Check.

To date, more than 56,000 young Serbians have been assessed through a network of 11 Job Info Centres across the country. Assessment results are directly linked to live job vacancies through Infostud, Serbia’s largest employment platform.

The conference also featured the activities of the JOB INFO Center Association and its cooperation with Infostud in promoting innovative competency and career assessment tools for youth.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore two dedicated exhibition booths showcasing:

  • modern career guidance and counselling tools,
  • Swiss-based diagnostic tools such as Basic Check, IdentyFi and WayFi,
  • VR technologies used in JOB INFO Centers across Serbia,
  • the E2E Training Solutions model supporting companies in strengthening internal employee training systems.

Participation at the HR Experience Conference further confirmed the importance of connecting education, labour market needs, and the HR community in developing more sustainable and impactful workforce development solutions in Serbia.

The “Education to Employment – E2E” project is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by NIRAS Germany GmbH.
