Education to Employment in Budapest: Digital Career Guidance Tools from Serbia Presented at the Euroguidance Cross Border Seminar 2026
Representatives of the Swiss-Serbian project “Education to Employment” (E2E) and the Job Info Centre network took part in the Euroguidance Cross Border Seminar 2026 – “Guidance in a Digital World”, held on 9–10 June in Budapest, Hungary.
The international seminar brought together career guidance professionals, counsellors, experts and policy representatives from across Europe to discuss digital tools, innovative methods, artificial intelligence and the impact of technology on modern career guidance and counselling.
As part of the official programme, the Serbian team delivered the workshop “Digital tools and Career Discovery – Exploring Careers Through Innovation”. The workshop was led by Jelena Stefanović, National Career Guidance and Counselling Coordinator within the E2E project, Milica Lekić from the Job Info Centre Novi Sad and Marko Cenić from the Job Info Centre Pirot.
The workshop presented E2E’s experience in developing and applying modern digital tools that support young people in making informed decisions about education, occupations and career pathways. The focus was placed on standardized assessment tools used to explore interests, personality traits, cognitive and practical competencies, as well as on the use of VR technology to simulate real work activities and help young people experience specific occupations in an innovative and practical way.
Designed as an interactive session, the workshop also opened discussion on the benefits, challenges and limitations of digital tools in practice. Participants explored how technology can strengthen career guidance and counselling, while preserving the essential human role of career practitioners.
E2E’s participation in the seminar represents another international recognition of the approach developed in Serbia through the Job Info Centre network — an approach that combines professional counselling, digital innovation and labour market relevance.
The Education to Employment project continues to support the development of high-quality, accessible and future-oriented career guidance and counselling services in Serbia, helping young people make better informed decisions about their professional future.
