E2E-Education to Employment in Šabac: Supporting Young People Through Career Guidance and New VR Tools

The E2E Education to Employment project took part in the KONEKT Conference, held on 28 September in Šabac, which focused on young people’s ability to take an active role in shaping their career paths. The conference was organised by the Osveženje Association, which is also a JOB INFO Centre within the project.

The E2E project was represented by Mirjana Bojanić, who addressed the extent to which young people, including young people with disabilities, can make meaningful choices about their professional development instead of merely adapting to the opportunities offered by education systems and the labour market.

At a time when careers are becoming less linear, young people need high-quality career guidance, practical experience and opportunities to explore new occupations and ways of working. This is why the From Education to Employment project continuously works with local partners and JOB INFO centres across Serbia to improve the accessibility and quality of career-guidance and counselling services.

During the conference, Mirjana Bojanić presented VR headsets to the Technical School in Šabac on behalf of the project and in cooperation with the Šabac JOB INFO Centre.

Technology will enable students to explore different occupations, working environments and career opportunities in a more interactive way. With the support of VR content, young people will be able to gain a better understanding of the world of work before making important decisions about their education and future professions.

The donation forms part of the project’s continued support for JOB INFO centres, schools and other partners. Its purpose is to ensure that young people, including those from vulnerable groups, have access to modern tools, reliable information and professional support that can help them make informed career decisions.

Participation in the KONEKT Conference and support for the Technical School in Šabac reflect the same mission: creating an environment in which young people do not simply adapt to existing opportunities but have the knowledge, support and tools to shape their own futures.
