Ethical Principles – A Key Step in Strengthening Serbia’s Career Guidance and Counselling System

A significant milestone has been achieved in the professionalization of Serbia’s Career Guidance and Counselling (CGC) system with the development of the Ethical Principles for Career Practitioners.
This document aims to ensure responsible and ethical practice, promote a holistic approach to service delivery, and place the well-being of users at the center of all activities.

The Education to Employment (E2E) project played an important role in drafting and designing this document through active participation in the Working Group for Improving the Quality of CGC Services led by the Qualifications Agency of the Republic of Serbia.

The shared goal was to support the standardization and professionalization of CGC practice and to strengthen awareness of ethical conduct among career practitioners and institutions providing these services.

The Ethical Principles encourage continuous professional development, self-reflective practice and consistent improvement of service quality — all to ensure reliable, client-focused support throughout the career development process.

The E2E project remains committed to contributing to the development of a strong and sustainable Career Guidance and Counselling ecosystem in Serbia, ensuring that all users have access to high-quality, professional support on their career journey.
