Based on the Draft methodology for development of the occupational standards, that has been supported within E2E in 2020 and 2021, MoLEVSA and E2E tested the Draft methodology through the development of standards for 10 occupations from the Codebook of Occupations: locksmith, machines locksmith, universal welder, welding technician, metalworking operator on numerically controlled machines, bartender, head chef, cook, hotel receptionist, waiter.
The occupational standard contains a description of the occupation, working conditions, typical tasks within the occupation, required knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes for the efficient performance of work in a certain occupation, as well as other important elements about the occupation, which enables easier communication and exchange of information on the labour market, better matching of supply and demand and connection of educational system with the labour market.
In the following period, the development of standards for new occupations (up to 20) from the Codebook of Occupations will continue, and after the formal adoption of the Methodology for the development of occupational standards, the E2E will organize trainings for actors on the labour market (employers, NES, employment agencies, institutions from the education system) to inform them about the process of developing occupational standards.
