The JOB INFO Center Association Officially Registered in Serbia

Together for the Future: JOB INFO Center Association Becomes a Reality

We are pleased to announce that the JOB INFO Center Association (JIC) has been officially registered—becoming the first professional association in Serbia dedicated exclusively to Career Guidance and Counselling (CGC).

This landmark moment reflects more than just legal registration. It is the culmination of eight years of dedicated work by the “Education to Employment” (E2E) project, local partners, and government institutions to build a modern, effective, and sustainable CGC ecosystem in Serbia.

From Vision to Institution

In late June, representatives of 12 partner organizations managing Serbia’s national network of 10 JOB INFO Centers gathered to set the legal and strategic foundations of the Association and to elect its first Board of Directors. With the legal registration now complete, the JIC Association is ready to take the lead in ensuring continuity and quality of CGC services across the country—beyond the E2E project’s lifecycle.

Why does this matter?

  • First of its kind: JIC is the first national association uniting experts and organizations in the CGC field in Serbia.
  • Ensures sustainability: It guarantees the long-term provision of career services, helping young people navigate education and employment choices.
  • Built on Swiss expertise: The model is inspired by Switzerland’s century-old tradition in career guidance, adapted for Serbia’s specific context.
  • People-centered: The Association supports services tailored to the needs of users, parents, educators, and employers.

Powered by Partnership, Expertise and Vision

This achievement stands as a testament to what can be accomplished through true partnership, local knowledge, and long-term vision—with the support of:

  • The Education to Employment (E2E) project
  • The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)
  • NIRAS International Consulting
  • And dedicated local Job Info Centers across Serbia

The Association stands as proof of what can be accomplished when long-term vision meets true partnership. It now serves as a key platform for further networking, professional development, quality assurance, and policy advocacy in the field of career guidance.

Congratulations to the newly elected Board of Directors:

Lazar Đoković, Marko Cenić, Dragana Radojević, Sanja Džakula, and Zorica Mitrović.
