Meeting of the Working Group for the Employment Strategy Action Plan (2024–2026)
E2E supported the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs (MoLEVSA) in organizing a meeting of the Working Group responsible for preparing and monitoring the Action Plan 2024–2026, which implements the Employment Strategy of Serbia for 2021–2026, on December 16 in Hotel M in Belgrade. After the introductory remarks by Assistant Minister Zoran Martinović and E2E representative Milena Janković, participants discussed the implementation of the Action Plan 2024–2026 and the Youth Guarantee program in 2025. The E2E project presented activities that support the improvement of the employment policy and results based on cooperation with local self-governments, employers and other actors on the Serbian labour market. The team of experts engaged by GIZ presented the results of the Employer survey and employment needs forecast 2025-2027.
The meeting was attended by over 40 representatives of institutions – members of the Working Group and other participants from the MoLEVSA, National Employment Service (including representatives of branch offices Niš, Kruševac and Sremska Mitrovica where the Youth Guarantee program is being piloted), Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Economy, Ministry for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, Ministry of European Integration, Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self–Government, Public Policy Secretariat, Statistical Office of the RS, Serbian Association of Employers, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Development Agency of Serbia, Agency for Qualifications, Office for Dual Education and NQF, United Branch Union Independence, National Youth Council of Serbia, Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, German Development Cooperation – GIZ, project for pre-accession assistance IPA 2020 TA and E2E.
The meeting was concluded by the representatives of MoLEVSA who announced key activities in the coming period that will be implemented with the support of the E2E: the development of a new Employment Strategy 2027-2032 and the improvement of the normative framework of employment policy through the development of the Law on the National Standard Classification of Occupations and revision of the Law on Employment and Unemployment Insurance.
