Continuation of Training on Outreach and Activation of NEET Youth within the Youth Guarantee

Belgrade: The “Education to Employment – E2E” project, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and the EU IPA 2020 TA pre-accession assistance project, organized a continuation of the training on outreach and activation of NEET youth who are outside the system (NEET = not in employment, education, or training).

The first three days of the training were held from December 11 to 13, 2024, while the continuation, the fourth day of training, took place on January 30, 2025, in Belgrade, at the premises of the National Academy for Public Administration.

Youth workers and career counselors from the Educational Center Kruševac, who will implement outreach activities, as well as employment counselors from the NES branches in the areas where the Youth Guarantee program is being piloted (Kruševac, Niš, and Sremska Mitrovica), had the opportunity to learn about topics crucial for informing young people, including:

  • Youth rights at work and in relation to work,
  • Social protection services at the local level, and
  • The offer of publicly recognized adult education providers in the Nišava, Rasina, and Srem districts.

During the second part of the training, technical information was presented regarding the visibility and communication rules of EU IPA projects, given that outreach activities within the Youth Guarantee are implemented with financial support from the EU. Additionally, participants received information on reporting procedures for outreach activities.

At the end of the training, participants had the opportunity to reflect on the first three days of training, clarify any uncertainties, and receive answers to their questions.

The lecturers were experts in the respective fields from the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, the Institute for Social Protection, the Qualifications Agency, IPA 2020 TA, and the National Employment Service. The reflection on the first three days of training was facilitated by experts from the Centre for Youth Work in Novi Sad, who had also served as trainers during the first three days and were the authors of the training program.
