Job info: More than 1000 users
Knjaževac: In the past year, 2023, career guidance and counselling services in the Job info centre were used by 1320 young people. This is the best confirmation that the importance of this type of counselling for making timely decision on future profession and career is increasingly more recognised.
“A large number of young people opt for individual counselling sessions because, using different tools, we are supporting them so that they can identify their competences and potential, get career information, and finally make the right career choice with regard to training, education, career planning and preparing themselves for the labour market“, Sanja Džakula, career practitioner in the Job info centre in Knjaževac, said.
She said that it is with pleasure that she can point out that, during the past period, they continued, but also established, cooperation with almost all primary and secondary schools, both from Rasinski and Zaječarski counties, and from the entire South-Eastern Serbia.
“We maintain excellent cooperation with career teams in the schools with whom we organise our career guidance and counselling workshops. The topics addressed in these workshops are those that arouse interest of male and female students – beginning with real encounters in which we talk about the advantages and shortcomings of specific professions, through the development of our famous tests, all the way to talking about how to disperse the stereotypes with regard to the division of jobs to ‘male’ or ‘female’ ones”.
Job info centre Knjaževac invited all interested young people, who have any dilemma about their career, to contact them and make an appointment for individual career counselling, promising that they will help them in generating a career pathway in accordance with their respective competences and affinities.
