E2E Story – Seven companies expressed their interest for the training

Kruševac: The interest to, through the “Education to Employment” project, train the workers for the professions they need, has so far been expressed by seven local enterprises and family businesses from the territory of Rasinski County. It is expected that large companies from Rasinski and Pomoravski Counties submit their applications soon.

“When on-the-job training is concerned, we focus on two different directions. Namely, on one hand our focus was on large companies in Rasinski County and a part of Pomoravski County, which includes Jagodina, Paraćin, and Ćuprija. On the other hand, we focused on smaller enterprises. As far as large companies are concerned, due to summer holidays and their internal procedures, their decision-making process takes more time. That is why we expect more applications from these companies in September. Until now, seven local enterprises and family businesses expressed their interest for the professions of auxiliary CNC machine operator, CNC machine operator, sewer, and waiter-barman“, Ilija Jovanović from Kruševac Educational Centre said. He is in charge of on-the-job training within the “Education to Employment” project.

At the same time, the representatives of this organisation talk with young people on the spot, in their local communities, explaining to them all the opportunities and benefits provided by this programme.

“Our goal is to gather together the young people who need a job and the companies who need new employees. Also, with different types of career guidance and counselling services we have covered more than 1,200 young people who are potential job-seekers“, Jovanović added.

Calls for on-the-job training in these companies will be published soon, and our previous experience shows that about 87 percent of trainees have stayed on to work in the companies in which they underwent training.

Jovanović invited the companies which have a need for training of their young staff to contact them, noting that the above-mentioned project will provide them logistical support in finding the staff for the training, as well as in providing co-financing of the training costs.

“It is important to keep in mind that young people who would like to take part in this training do not need to have education in the profession for which they will undergo the training, and that they will receive financial allowance for the training“, Jovanović noted.

Trainees undergo the theoretical part of the training, which is mostly conducted by a school for some related profession, as well as a practical part which will take place in companies.
